Question Discussion & Solution

The correct answer is Bit.

Key Points

• Bit
  • A bit or binary digit is the smallest unit of measurement used to quantify computer data.
  • It contains a single binary value of 0 or 1.
  • A single bit can define a boolean value of True(1) or False(0).
  • Generally, data transfer rates are measured in bits.
•  Binary Number System
  • It contains two unique digits 0s and 1s.
  • It is also known as the Base 2 system.
  • The binary numbers 0 and 1 are called a bit.
  • The computer always calculates input in binary form.
  • Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz developed the binary system

Additional Information

• Byte
  • A byte is a unit of digital information that most commonly consists of eight bits.
  • A byte is the number of bits used to encode a single character of text in the computer.
• Nibble
  • A nibble is a four-bit aggregation or half an octet.
  • it is also known as half-byte or tetrad.
• BCD
  • In computing and electronic systems, binary-coded decimal is a class of binary encodings of decimal numbers where each digit is represented by a fixed number of bits.
  • It is implemented in the instruction set of machines.

Arrow moves one, two, three, four, and five sequentially anticlockwise. The arrow head change in a sequence of filled circle → Filled arrow → Open arrow

Next figure is gap of five with open arrow.

The correct answer is option 4) i.e. All of the above

CONCEPT:

• Magnetic field: The region around a magnet where its influence is experienced is called the magnetic field.
  • The visual representation of the magnetic field is called magnetic field lines.

• Properties of magnetic field lines:
  1. The field lines start from the north pole and end at the south pole.
  2. The field lines are crowded where the magnetic field is the strongest.
  3. The field lines form continuous curves.
  4. The field lines do not intersect.

EXPLANATION:

• The magnetic field is strongest near the poles. Since magnetic field lines start and end at poles, they converge towards the region of strong magnetic force.
• Two magnetic field lines cannot intersect. If they did, at the point of intersection, the magnetic field will have two directions - which is not possible.
• The magnetic field lines have direction as they are represented as flowing, though no actual movement occurs. So, they do not move.

Therefore, all the given statements are true.

All except 'Handle' are name of vehicles while 'handle' is the name of one of the parts of a vehicle.

The correct answer is Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory.

Key Points

• EEPROM stands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory.
• It is a non-volatile memory in which the information stored Is retained even after the power goes off.
• A special type of PROM in which the information stored in it can be erased by exposing it to an electrical charge at one byte at a time.
• EEPROM generally offers excellent capabilities and performance.
• EEPROMs are constructed as arrays of floating-gate transistors.
