Question Discussion & Solution

The correct answer is Tecomella Stenosis.

• Tecomella Stenosis is the scientific name of the state flower-Rohira of Rajasthan.

Key Points

• Rohira is the state flower of Rajasthan.
• Its scientific name is Tecomella Stenosis.
• The flower is mainly found in desert and barren areas of the Thar Desert, Rajasthan.

Additional Information

• Lilium is the scientific name of lily flower.
• Helianthus is the scientific name of sunflower.
• Psidium Guajava is the scientific name of Guava.

The correct answer is Silver.

Key Points

• Gold
  • It is one of the softest metals, and this quality makes it easier to design it in various jewelry designs.
  • It is tough making 24 karat gold jewelry. Other metals have to be added to it to increase its durability and strength.
  • If you wish to know what is 24 karat gold, you must understand that 24 karat gold is the purest form of this yellow metal.
  • Although 24 karat is pure gold, a jewelry piece made up of this purity is not solid and flexible enough.
  • When creating and crafting beautiful, intricately designed, and patterned gold jewelry, the metal needs to be added with other alloys to lend it the necessary strength.
  • The metals usually added to gold metal are zinc, nickel, silver, copper, etc. Hence, Option 3 is correct.
  • This is because when gold melts its state will change into a liquid.
  • Gold will like water so it flows and it will become difficult to mold.
  • So copper is added to gold which is there in the liquid state, so it will harden gold a little bit to prevent it from flowing which will be easy to mold gold to make ornaments.

Important Points

• Silver
  • It is a chemical element with the symbol Ag and atomic number 47.
  • A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, it exhibits the highest electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity of any metal.

Additional Information

• Zinc
  • It is a chemical element with the symbol Zn and atomic number 30.
  • Zinc is a slightly brittle metal at room temperature and has a silvery-greyish appearance when oxidation is removed.
  • It is the first element in group 12 of the periodic table.
• Lead
  • It is a chemical element with the symbol Pb and atomic number 82.
  • It is a heavy metal that is denser than most common materials.
  • Lead is soft and malleable, and also has a relatively low melting point.
  • When freshly cut, lead is silvery with a hint of blue; it tarnishes to a dull gray color when exposed to air.
• Tin
  • It is a chemical element with the symbol Sn and the atomic number 50.
  • Tin is a silvery metal that characteristically has a faint yellow hue.
  • Tin is soft enough to be cut with little force.

The correct answer is EEPROM.

Key Points

• Flash memory is a non-volatile computer storage chip,
• It is made up of EEPROM.
• EEPROM is the acronym of electrically erasable programmable read-only memory,
• EEPROM is a Programmable ROM that can be erased and reprogrammed using an electrical charge.
• It was first was developed by George Perlegos.
• It allows the user to update the computer BIOS without having to open the computer or remove any chips.
• It organized as arrays of floating-gate transistors.
• USB flash drive, Memory cards are the examples of flash memory storage.
• BIOS is stored in Flash memory chip.

Additional Information

• RDRAM is the acronym of Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory.
  • It is a video RAM.
• MROM is the acronym of Mask ROM.
  • It is produced by arranging transistors before the semiconductor manufacturing process actually begins.
• SRAM is the acronym of Static random-access memory
  • It uses latching circuitry (flip-flop) to store each bit.
• PROM is the acronym of Programmable Read-Only Memory.
  • It can be modified only once by a user.

The correct answer is Projector.

Important Points

•  Projector
  • A projector is an optical device that projects an image (or moving images) onto a projection screen.
  • There are four main types including;
    • DLP: Digital Light Processing,
    • LCD: Liquid Crystal Display
    • LCOS: Liquid Crystal on Silicon.
    • Laser projectors

Key Points

• Output device
  • An output device is any hardware device used to send data from a computer to another device or user.
  • Some of the output devices are:
    • Visual Display Units (VDU)
    • Monitor, Printer,
    • Graphic Output devices,
    • Plotters, Speakers.

Additional Information

• Mouse
  • A computer mouse is a hand-held pointing device that detects two-dimensional motion relative to a surface.
• Optical Character Recognition, or OCR
  • It is a technology that enables to convert different types of documents, such as scanned paper documents, PDF files or images captured by a digital camera into editable and searchable data.
• Webcam
  • A webcam is a camera that connects to a computer.
  • It captures still pictures or motion video.
  • with the aid of software, can transmit its video on the Internet in real-time.

The Correct Answer is "boron deficiency".

• Boron deficiency is a deficiency of the micronutrient boron in plants.
• It causes large losses in crop production and crop quality
• It affects the vegetative and reproductive growth of plants, resulting in inhibition of cell expansion, death of meristem, and reduced fertility.

Important Points

• Boron deficiency in sugar beets characteristically causes the death of the growing point and the development of blackheart rot.
• Before the deficiency has reached this stage, the leaves, which may have cracked petioles, will have become progressively smaller and somewhat misshapen.
• After the death of the growing point, small bunches of leaves develop in the older leaf axils and the crown is very liable to become hollow and rot.

Additional Information

• The hollow heart is an internal disorder where a 'lens' or 'star'-shaped cavity forms in the tuber.
• It appears to be caused by an abrupt change in tuber growth rate which usually occurs after a period of stress.
• Water, heat stress and associated calcium deficiency appear to have a role in the development of a hollow heart.
• The crisp variety Atlantic and the French fry variety Russet Burbank are prone to hollow heart but if conditions are right most varieties can be affected.
• Hollow heart is an important problem for the potato industry as payments from processors and washer-packers for fresh market potatoes may be reduced.
